ARCTIC LAPPONIA

Arctic Lapponia is a well-equipped log cabin at the end of the road, where the Ranua wilderness begins. Set on the banks of the Simojoki with its own private beach and pier, it is the largest of our riverside cottages and ideal for families and groups of up to eight – or for a longer stay in the peace of Lapland.

The cabin has three bedrooms with two new double beds and additional beds, a spacious living room with a fireplace and a 55″ smart TV, and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer and dishwasher. An air-source heat pump keeps the cabin warm in winter and cool in summer. The wood-heated sauna and shower have their own entrance, and after the sauna the river is right there for a swim.

The Simojoki is a protected Natura 2000 river known for salmon, grayling and trout, and you can fish straight from the pier. A rowing boat is available on the shore, and a new gas grill on the terrace makes summer evenings easy. A hot tub can be rented on request.

Ranua Wildlife Park is a short drive away, and Rovaniemi with Santa Claus Village is about an hour by car.
